2D MICRO-ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM BUCKLE: Provides a secure and personalized closure with optimal on-the-bike adjustability. One of the most technologically advanced systems on the market, the 2D buckle is micro-adjustable and made with carbon look. The Micro buckle features two independent levers which works against the indented buckled Strap for customized tension and release for each rider.
A.I.C.S (Adjustable Instep Closure System): Adapts the shoe to contour the foot whilst assuring constant support. This new closure system is made from high-strength PU and is positioned across the foot. Comprising of two micro-adjustable ratchets to adjust instep tension whilst maintaining proper fit and support.
SAFETY LOCK STRAP SYSTEM: Patented by Gaerne, this innovative closure system features indented straps below each mid and forefoot Velcro closure, preventing any loosening and maintaining a secure fit at all times.
VENTILATED ANTISLIP TONGUE: The anatomic tongue includes three inserts made of breathable material that enables the tongues antislip to remain in position during use. Inside is a soft padding with antibacterial treatment to ensure optimal comfort at the top of the foot.
HEEL CUP: All-new injection-molded plastic anatomic heel-cup will not deform or weaken. Anti-tendonitis form with internal non-slip treatment for the best foot stability and control. Reflective inserts provide maximum visibility in low-light conditions.
U CONTROL HEEL SYSTEM: Exclusive control heel system, ensuring the correct position during use whilst retaining the foot in the correct position.
HEEL GRIP PLUS: A newly-patented anti-slip insert stabilizes the heel, increases the foot's hold, and eliminates movement.
FIT COMFORT INSOLE: The new Gaerne COMFORT FIT INSOLE is designed to offer maximum comfort. The new insole combines natural materials with three technical inserts which adapt to the users foot shape and retain memory. This extraordinary ability is obtained using new materials which memorize the shape of the structure from which they receive the impact. This way, the base, inserted inside the shoe stores the form of the foot during use whilst eliminating excessive pressure on the surrounding area therefore creating greater support. Designed with the aim to increase comfort and stability, this insole is super-anatomical, which unlike the generic footbed, respects the unique characteristics of each individual foot.
SOLE: Available in two different soles:
GAERNE EPS CARBON FIBER SOLE: Carbon fiber sole ensures light weight and complete stiffness in order to maximize the power transfer to the pedaling action. The ultra-thin layer allows the foot to be positioned at a minimal distance from the pedal’s pivot pin thus assuring a round pedaling motion without energy loss. Two holes/ducts positioned on the sole ensure perfect ventilation to the foot during use. Front and back rubber anti-skid walking inserts. The back insert is replaceable. The sole compatible with the most available quick-release pedals.
